7 ideas on a single topic
Create mind map assignments following the steps from this section. Learn how to introduce group work to students and then use the following exercises to teach them how to learn collaboratively. You can also create other exercises that you think would fit well with the lessons you teach in class.
Exercise
Ask every team to create a mind map and come up with 7 ideas for solving a specific problem.
- Every idea needs to have at least 3 supportive arguments.
- Topic examples: global warming, world hunger, etc.
Optionally, you can create a mind map with a few guidelines like the example below that will help your students and attach it to the assignment. It will help students organize their ideas and think about how to prevent global warming.
Reward the mind map which has the best ideas and arguments. At the end of the class, discuss the results with all your students.
Here is a template for finding solutions to stop global hunger:
This type of exercise will allow students to brainstorm together and discuss their ideas with ease.
They will be able to remember all the ideas because they will write them down in the mind map. Mindomo offers the possibility to easily edit mind maps so they can delete or change the content of topics at any time.
